Sir Alex Ferguson left Hernandez on the bench for the FA Cup semifinal against Man City and his replacement Berbatov missed few clear chances for scoring. Nani and Valencia were doing their job, but it wasn’t enough for equalizing against the fast counters made by Silva and company. But Manchester will have Rooney back in the team for this game- we have to admit that he is a key factor and no matter of his form Ferguson always puts trust in him.
Far from the danger zone and also far from the European spots thus far Newcastle are slowing down the tempo. Their motivation would be dropped and we don’t believe the guests will miss the win. The performance of Pardew’s men is flux and reflux. Another three points for the leaders will push them closer to the title (after the wrong step of Arsenal) and will make them feel more committed to the Champions League next week.
