Blackpool have played another passionate game against Arsenal. Sometimes we think this team play only to present goal spectacles to their fans. The hosts continued with the tradition to score and to receive a goal in every match at Bloomfield Road. The attacking style of Blackpool is remarkable- Lehman and the four men in front of him were pretty dizzy in the beginning of the second half and only the great finish by Van Persie broke their wings.
But we saw a huge hole between the defence and the goalkeeper Kingson during the whole 90 minutes. Stephen Crainey and his teammates at the back were outplayed many times by perspective passes of the opponents.
The good performance of Al Habsi and the ability of his team to resist the pressure (they were very stable against Chelsea) impede us to back a sure home win here. But it is their only one strong side, because they have a great difficulties up- front. Last year with 31 points after 31 played games we could say the team should be saved (Wigan were 15th), but this term the bar is too high and the Roberto Martinez’ men are in the bottom.
