Tottenham have been stuck to the fifth position since twelve rounds and their last games with two draws among them didn’t change anything. The Spurs could not neglect the thoughts about the upcoming Champions League battle in Madrid and if they want to brake the draw- series in the domestic tournament would make a little bit more efforts than usual.
On the other hand the victory against Birmingham is vital for the eventual surviving of Wigan in Premiership. It was their second for this year and came just on time before the international break. Roberto Martinez has a fully fit squad for the second time in a row and the Latics are confident they can build on a good momentum. Rodallega has not score lately, but the young Thomas Cleverley was the founder of the turnaround against Birmingham.
Although the hosts aren’t blessed with as much talent and such players who boast an abundance of technical ability, will be by far the hungrier team in that Saturday fixture.
Bale is unlikely to play and the deep crisis in the Tottenham defence makes us believe in a good Wigan performance.
