Sochaux Rennes Match Preview
Sochaux lost 1:2 to PSG away from home. Sochaux were the side who opened the score in 14th minute - striker Maiga scored a header after Martin's cross. PSG needed only two minutes to score equalizer. In 23th minute there were already 2:1 for PSG - Giuly scored after Nene's pass. Later Sochaux were closer to score equalizer than PSG to increase their lead. Many goals after not so many chances in this game. Regular centre back Jeremie Brechet is injured. Regular winger Ryad Boudebouz (2 goals and 2 assists in 20 Ligue 1 games) is out. Regular left defender Boukary Dramé is injured too. Useful central midfielder Carlao is suspended. Fullback Mikari is still on long term injury list.
Rennes won 4:0 against Arles at home. Tettey opened the score in 23th minute with a technical lob. In 37th minute Tettey played good one touch pass, then got the ball back and crossed it to Brahimi who scored for 2:0. Rennes continued punishing Arles - another goal came in 56th minute, again Brahimi, but this time after Leroy's pass. Brahimi was close to score a hatt-trick, but he was unable to score from one on one with goalkeeper. In added time Rennes got a penalty kick for handball, M'Vila scored for 4:0. Arles were unable to do anything. Deserved victory for Rennes. Rennes bought another striker - this time 21 years old John Verhoek from FC Den Bosch, in this season he scored 10 goals and collected 3 assists in 17 games, but you must remember that this was only in second division. Key offensive midfielder Marveaux is still out. Regular defensive midfielder Georges Mandjeck is out too. Best striker Montano is back, experienced central midfielder Dalmat is also return.
Prediction: Hard game. I will go for a draw, because Sochaux at home is hard nut to crack.
