Lorient Brest Match Preview
Lorient lost 0:3 to Lyon away from home. They pushed in first half, but first goal came just 4 minutes before half time. It came after really good shoot from distance by Bafetimibi Gomis. Second goal came in 54th minute, also after shoot from distance, this time by Kallstrom and it was even better shoot than Bafetimibi's. Third goal came just 4 minutes later, this time thanks to Gomis and his head. Lorient were unable to create real danger and Lyon and Gomis were close to score fourth goal, Gomis could score hatt trick, but defender clear the ball of the line. Good game and deserved win. Young defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin is out, he played 12 times this season.
Brest lost to Caen 1:3 at home. Nivet gave the visitors an early lead in 11th minute thanks to a bit lucky, but very precise shoot. Caen had chance to increase their lead, but goalie Elana is not easy man to beat. In last minute of the first half Brest got a penalty and Caen were one man down as centre back Thomas Heurtaux got a red card. Goalie went the wrong way and Grougi scored an equalizer. To be honest I think that Brest did not deserve for penalty, because foul was outside of penalty area. In second half both teams had their chances - first Brest were close couple of time, but goalkeeper Thebaux was really good that day. Then Caen hit the post and some minutes later, in 81th minute they got a penalty. El-Arabi didn't waste this chance and went for goal. Six minutes later Romain Hamouma taped in for 3:1. Important win for Caen, they played whole second half with one man down and with feeling that penalty against them were wrong decision. They showed character. Offensive midfielder Benoît Lesoimier (1 goal and 3 assists in 18 games) is out for this game.
Prediction: This is no bet for me. Probably Brest's hot streak came to an end, but Lorient have also problems with consistency.
