Monaco Toulouse Match Preview
Monaco got a 2:2 draw against Olympique Marseille away from home. Monaco was leading twice. Goal for 2:2 came after an own goal from Adriano, it was really lucky moment for Olympique Marseille, but to be honest also Monaco's goal for 2:1 was a gift from Marseille's players so all in all this could be considered as a fair result. The good news is fact that AS Monaco is able to score goals, unfortunately they also started to loosing more goals than in first games of this season. Striker Daniel Niculae who was so far so good in this season is out and won't play today. Other players with serious injuries are still out too.
Toulouse lost 0:1 to St. Etienne at home. Many expected - including me - that St. Etienne will be struggling this season, but at the moment their situation is really great - they are on 3rd place with 10 points after 5 games. They are without a real striker, but in each game some different player has his day. Against Toulouse small midfielder Laurent Batlles scored a really nice header. Toulouse was unable to create any real danger and St. Etienne was very dangerous, but only after set pieces. They even scored a second goal, but in referee's opinion there was an off-side. The best chance for Toulouse came after big long shoot, which hit the crossbar. Left defender Cheikh M'Bengue picked up an injury against St. Etienne and is out for a game against AS Monaco. Striker Soren Larsen is still out, just like goalie Pele.
Prediction: Absent of striker Niculae is a big blow for AS Monaco, but they still have some decent attackers like Park or Aubameyang. Toulouse has problems with strikers so if Monaco will play solid in defence they should win this game even if they score only one goal. Home win.
