Match Preview
Brest played very good against Caen. They won 2:0 away from home. They pushed all day long. Caen was unable to stop them and tried something only after counter attacks. Two offensive midfielders from Czech Republic - Licka and Micola played nice. Licka showed some nice passing play and cold blood as he was a guy who scored from penalty spot. Micola was without cold blood and wasted some chances to score, but he collected important assists in first goal scored by best striker Roux. Brest bought talented centre back Paul Baysse for 1 million euro. 22 years old Frenchman who play in youth France National Teams is set for debut against Lorient, but some newspapers anticipate that he will start on the bench. Left winger Larsen Toure will miss this game. He played in last two matches, but now is injured and definitely out.
Lorient won 2:0 against Olympique Lyon at home. Definitely early goal from penalty spot help them much. Then they had another good chances, but goalie Hugo Lloris was in good form, but he has nothing to say in second strike when Kitambala scored his first goal for a new club. Lyon also had some chances, especially Yoann Gourcuff who came in during the first half. New synthetics surface on Lorient's stadium also favor hosts and they deserved for a win. Goalkeeper Audard is in the match squad for the first time in this season, he was injured in last months. Also forward Dubarbier recovered from a knock and he is in match squad for this game.
Prediction: Brest is not a team who you back with high confidence especially if we remember than Lorient won against Lyon. We must also remember that this game is a derby match. Full stadium is expected. Draw maybe? But who bet on draws? Under 2.5.
