Match Preview

Montpellier grab an important 1:0 win against Valenciennes away from home. They showed one more time, that their defence is extremely strong and that new midfielder Marco Estrada is a great free-kicks specialist, he did not score this time, but every set piece is very good chance to score. The only goal came after a Giroud's header. At the club everybody should be happy that former Ligue 2 Top scorer finally scored for Montpellier. Forward Kabze is also getting better and better. So their offensive power slowly improving if they keep solid performance at defense they should grab many wins thanks to one goal scored.  
Nancy lost 0:2 to Toulouse at home. Toulouse was better side and they deserved for a win. Vahirua was bought from Lorient is struggling to find his good performance from last season. Maybe when Hadji will finally came back from suspension Vahirua will be playing better. At the moment he is far from solid performance. Break for International games gave him time to integrate with new teammates, but is still could be not enough to play good. Best striker Hadji is still on long term suspension. Left midfielder Brison recovered after injury. Left attacking midfielder Chris Malonga moved to AS Monaco. In last season he played 25 times in Ligue 1 (scored 4 goals & collected 6 assists). In this season he played only 38 minutes. Maybe this is one of the reasons why Nancy is so impotent in attack.
Prediction: Montpellier not conceded a goal in this Ligue 1 season. It will be very ironically if the first team who break their defence will be a team like Nancy. But football is often ironically. Odds on home side are good and worth a try, but be careful with stakes
