Newcomers lost first match away from home 1:2 to Sochaux, but were not pushovers at all. They even played some nice first touch action and really should get something from this match. But this is price for being newbies. Against Lens they will play first game on their home soil. In games like this one it's usually big motivation for new team to play good in their first home match. However sometimes such big excitement is not so good as could hamper their play. Experienced offensive midfielder Camel Meriem joined Arles on a free transfer. This should be a real reinforcement.

Lens played some good friendlies when they won against Valenciennes, Zulte Waregem, Boulogne or FC Koeln. But in first match in Ligue this season Lens played bad until the moment they concede a goal, then their play becsame much more passionate and determined. They level 1:1, but then lost another goal. In last minutes they have penalty shoot, but wasted it and lost first game at home against Nancy.

Lens was really bad in last season when it came to play away from home so it's too risky for me to back them. Strikes S. Sow is injured. Captain Chelle is back from suspension.
