QPR Everton QPR- Everton
QPR
Out: Campbell, Connolly, Dyer, Faurlin, Helguson, Hall
Suspended: Cissé, Samba Diakité
Everton
Out: Donovan, Gibson, Jagielka
Doubts: Pienaar, Osman, Rodwell
Despite their poor results QPR try to be offensive. They are aggressive (have placed around sixty shots towards the opponents’ gates in the last three encounters), but their attacks don’t seem to be in order and always something missing to convince us in their success. The manager Hughes has a tough period after his side wasted many points from winning positions or with a decent performing against mediocre opponents. Samba Diakite made awful debut for the club with his rough late tackles and we also can not praise the discipline of his teammates too. However, we think that the improving Taarabt’s passing, the unpredictable Mackie and the return of Cisse should be profitable this time.
Everton- on opposite- are maintaining their positive run and haven’t lost in seven fights in a row. They have rested in the last round because of the Liverpool’s engagement in the Carling Cup Final. The midfielders Leon Osman and Jack Rodwell are fit and have already played for the reserve team against Bolton (the first one even scored) and the Caramels’ squad becomes wider. If we add the effective return of Pienaar and the strong Croatian addition Jelavic, we could see very creative and versatile eleven. Everton create less scoring chances than QPR, but are much more accurate in shooting and the defences can not be compared.
Update: Young could back in the right full- back for QPR.
