Lanus played with different defensive line in the Copa Libertadores fixture visiting the tough Olimpia (there are many talented players from all over the South America in their squad) in Paraguay. The Argentineans lost the battle with more distracted play at the back. The performance in the attack is the stronger one. Against Independiente Pavone proved us that he likes to score in their goal and continued his tradition from his period in River Plate. Diaz was joining to the attack very often, made the pass for the goal and we expect to see him rested after he didn’t play in the midweek match. The experienced midfielder Camoranesi should be fit for the clash and could appear at least from the bench. We’ll support the returning on the winning way of the offensive hosts.
San Martin played a timid game with Tigre and were outplayed by the opposition. They couldn’t take advantage from two or three scoring opportunities and lost many aerial fights in their box- the goals came after set pieces. They would lose some experience in the center if Maxi Bustos and Pablo Cantero not play, but the top scorer Caprari is likely to be recovered.
