That is one of the games that force us to doubt in the abilities of Chelsea. The manager’s change didn’t alter the attacking play and against a side as Napoli, who score with ease, the making up of two goals lagging would be very hard task. It is an important moment for the players to demonstrate character, which would be useful even for the domestic battle for the spots in the Champions League next year. Di Mateo put Lampard and Terry in the starting line- up against Stoke, but the style of play with many, many crosses was about to ruin searching the goal. There is no enough improvement in the hosts to eliminate the inspired Italian side.

Well, this is the match of the life for most of Napoli footballers. And if it has been a couple of years before, Chelsea would have been deservedly favs, but currently this is not the case. The defense of Napoli is by no means worse than Chelsea. The midfield is perhaps even better, and what to say about the attack... Napoli is firmly one of the best Italian squads and even though it has not won the Scudetto, it could definitely make it out to the final - it eliminated Man C, won over Bayern M, and now it will collect a good result over Chelsea. Napoli attack is good in fast attacking movements, and we cannot see Terry pulling up the strings to stop fast Lavezzi and Co.
