Holt was spared in the FA Cup battle lost by Leicester City, but he demonstrated against the Welsh novices that he deserve the starting line- up’s spot. Otherwise, the starting line –up was built mostly by first- choice players. The manager Paul Lambert has said in advance that his priority will be the Premier League and we saw the way in which Swansea can be outplayed at their home. Norwich were pressing their opponents all over the field and that was the key factor for their success. In combination with the fast and simple play up- front by Dyer, Hoolahan and company, and their implacability in front of the goal (amazing equalizing hit for 1-1). Those are qualities which could give them some advantage on the home soil against the mighty opponents.
Manchester United are slight favorites in the clash with the novices. They prevailed on the pitch in the derby with Liverpool thanks to the great communication between the old men Scholes and Giggs, who presented smartly passing in the midfield and patiently were searching the gaps in the Liverpool’s flanks. Valencia is always dangerous on the flank and De Gea seems improved lately with more confident interventions. Despite that, with fewer clean sheets lately we couldn’t expect a routine victory here. After that- a tough and bot very convincing battle at home agaisnt Ajax...
