Tottenham Newcastle Tottenham- Newcastle
Tottenham
Out: Bentley, Bostock, Carroll, Corluka, Gallas, Huddlestone, Jenas
Doubts: Sandro, Kaboul, van der Vaart
The Spurs played a tight match in Liverpool, but we believe such a behavior wouldn’t be very profitable against the inspired visitors. Bale wasn’t as active as we had used to see him and we don’t believe Kranjcar is his best partner on the opposite flank. We expect the return of Lennon and Defoe and that will make the thinks pretty different; with more speed up- front. The manager Harry Redknapp is flattered to be considered as an eventual substitute for Capello on the international spot, but he should change the mentality of his men- their good runs are cut (or at least their improvement is arrested) when Tottenham face real rivals from the top.
Newcastle
Out: Ameobi, Best, Marveaux, Ranger, Smith, Tavernier, R. Taylor, Tioté, Vuckic
Doubts: S. Taylor
Suspended: Cabaye
As Tottenahm Newcastle also are in- form and they celebrated the effective return of both Senegal strikers Ba and Cisse, who gave the victory to their side in the last round. The attacking duo demonstrated great power and good combinations (one of them led to a hit). In this situation we even wouldn’t notice the miss of Best. In the defence the Taylor (Steven and Ryan) should unbalance the coordination at the back and if we add the suspended Cabaye, we can expect fewer chances on the set pieces. But with a fighter as the amazing Gutierrez, who is the most diligent player in the whole Premiership the holes in the midfield don’t look so big.
The Odds for the guests are just perfect and they continue rising. We can not afford to skip the comfortable Asian Handicap option. The hosts have advantage considering their shortened injury list and the expanding one for Newcastle, but not very big.
Tip: Newcastle +1.25 Odds: 1.93 Stake: 7/10
