The loss from Mallorca wasn’t the most expected outcome for Rayo and they have to fight against stronger opponents now. The hosts have missed to score for the first time in their last seven meetings and we don’t expect they would repeat it very soon, considering the tiredness of the visitors. Diego Costa, who has scored important goals for Atletico Madrid and has made a nice duo with Aguero, jointed to the club and replaced the inefficient Botelho.

Athletic have directed to the European spots, which they belong to and only the few mistakes at the back made them look the weaker side in Madrid. With improved ball possession (even against Real) the Bielsa’s men should be confident to keep going forward. We liked the high working capacity of the players against Mallorca for the Cup and the way that defence was coping with the few dangerous runs.
