Anthony Vanden Borre joins Portsmouth on a season-long loan.

Portsmouth have completed the loan signing of Belgian midfielder Anthony Vanden Borre from Italian side Genoa.

The 21-year-old has joined the club on a season-long deal subject to international clearance.

"He played right-back for his country (against the Czech Republic) on Wednesday night but he can also play in midfield. He's good in both positions," said the Paul Hart.

Pompey are thought to have an exclusive option to buy the Fiorentina player when the loan deal ends.

Vanden Borre,could go straight into the Portsmouth squad gainst Fulham on Saturday, providing the club receive international clearance for the Congo-born player.
