Thomas Thomasberg fired from FC Midtjylland

FC Midtjylland has just announced that coach Thomas Thomasberg has been sacked with immediate effect. Thomas Thomasberg was nervous that his time at FC Midtjylland was over when the club on Sunday hosted Randers FC. It was thought that players rescued the trainer after they won 4-1.

- No suspicions for Thomas Thomasberg's commitment, professionalism and great heart for FC Midtjylland. He has been here since early in 1999. But the troupe potential has not been redeemed and so we must try something new, explains FC Midtjylland sportsdirektor Jens Orgaard.

- I have been close to Thomas for 10 years, so it's one of those days when you have to separate the sense and feeling. But I think it is the right solution for FC Midtjylland and Thomas Thomasberg.

Thomas Berg Thomas took over as head coach when Erik Rasmussen left the club last summer.
