Hannover’s top striker Konan sidelined

Didier Ya Konan will be out of action for at least six weeks due to torn ligaments in the right knee. Konan sustained the injury during Hannover's 3-0 defeat to Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Although no surgery will be necessary, medics suggest that the striker’s recovery will take more than a month. Konan has been seen as a team leader with six league goals this season.
