Monaco welcomes Maazou

Nigerian striker Ouwo Maazou will join Monaco on a six-month loan deal which may lead to a permanent position in June. Maazou is being transferred from CSKA Moscow where the 21-year-old player has mainly performed as a substitute and scored three league goals in 15 games. Maazou's entering the team could mean a sooner departure for striker Eidur Gudjohnsen, who has not managed to score since joining Monaco from Barcelona.
