Gary Caldwell will stregthen Wigan's defense

Wigan are in urgent need of recruitments in order to remain in Premiership the next season. The efforts of Rodallega will not be sufficient, and therefore Roberto Martinez has finally splashed the cash on a central defender. Gary Caldwell is coming from Celtic for an undisclosed fee, after Wigan made a late bid just to see off the competition of Middlesborough. 

Gary Caldwell, whose contract with Celtic was expiring this summer, is poised to participate in the Premiership.
