Maynor Figueroa is again wanted by Steve Bruce.

The manager of Sunderland truly believes in the qualities of the Honduras fullback, which is evidenced by the fact that Bruce brought him in Wigan a few years ago. Tottenham are also interested in Figueroa, still the Black Cats should be the favourite for his signature.

Bruce squad has been recently depleted with injuries and suspensions, so an additional defender might be useful. Bruce insisted that his interest is not because of the recent run of bad results and confirmed that he is and will continue building his squad with a long term perspective.
