Thomas Schaaf extended his contract with Werder
Thomas Schaaf signed the new contract, which will keep him with the team until 30 June 2012.
Klaus Allofs, Werder-Chairman of the Board has revealed that the Shaaf's decision is a great relief for the whole club.
The 48 year-old specialist is with the team since 1999 when he succeeded Felix Magath. In the first weeks as Werder coach Schaaf had saved the club from the relegation and led the team to the cup final. The greatest success as coach of the Green-White was in the 2003/2004 season, when the team win a double. Werder also reached the UEFA Cup final in Istanbul against Shakhtar Donetsk.
