Wolfsburg: Is that defence or what ?

Wolfsburg reached 20 goals already in front of their home crowd. More than Leverkusen, Schalke and significantly more than the Bavarians. And yet Armin Veh's team won only three of their home matches. The reason behind that is very simple - the 21 goals conceded in their own gate. More than Hertha, Freiburg, and as well Koln. 

"It is madness to get as many goals against us," said coach Armin Veh after the next home defeat on Sunday, a 1:3 against Borussia Dortmund. In the center of his criticism were Andrea Barzagli and Marcel Schäfer. 

The problem is that Armin Veh has basically only four skilled defenders available: Andrea Barzagli, Alexander Madlung, Ricardo Costa, Jan Simunek. Simunek, however, appears to have forgotten  in the summer break how he is supposed to play and now mostly he is in the second team. 

The other three Veh has put together in all possible combinations. But up to now no duo has been really working. Their is really a need for change in that line if the team want to reach a top 4 place this season.

We can not also skip the fact that this was not the first time that Veh makes changes in his team during the first 30 minutes of the game. Inbettor likes when someone recognizes his mistakes, but these mistakes started to happen too often.
