Martin Pieckenhagen wants another year in Heracles

If it is up to Martin Pieckenhagen, he wants another year at Heracles Almelo. The 38-year-old German is making his fifth season to the service of the formidable performing club, and does not to retire, though he has a contract expiring.

"I've seen the club grow, it would be nice to have another year. If the club wants, I see noproblems", says the keeper against RTV Oost. How Heracles regard Pieck is still not clear. However, the goalkeeper has been a reliable factor between the bars at the club.

That season was the first time in years for Heracles to participate constantly at the highest level. Captain Pieckenhagen was all this time the first choice goalkeeper. The younger Dennis Telgenkamp and Jörg van Nieuwenhuijzen are set to succeed to his throne.
