Sporting Gijon short of strikers

Sporting Gijon striker Mate Bilic injured his leg during last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Tenerife.  According to the medical team, his full recovery will take up to a month which leaves the Croatian player on sidelines for now. Without Bilic in first-team action, coach Manolo Preciados is left short of attacking options, which is likely to bring Sporting Gijon to January transfer market in search of extra players. 

The team is currently positioned seventh in the table. Preciados has expressed determination to keep up with the good work even without Bilic.
