Aston Villa sign Beye despite Hull's attempts

Aston Villa signed Habib Beye from Newcastle United on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.The 31-year-old Senegal international was expected to meet Hull officials this week to discuss terms and conditions, but the player decided that his future lies with the Villains. 

"Habib Beye is a player we believe can add quality to our squad. We are hoping to engage in conversation with him in the next couple of days," Duffen said. 

Beye joined Newcastle in 2007 and has 35 caps for his country.
