Willem II Maikel Aerts injured at least till the winter.

Willem II suffered a big blow Tuesday morning. Tilburg's team saw Maikel Aerts leave the training injured. After examining the goalie in the hospital it appears that he has torn his ankle.

Aerts is off at least until the winter. The goalkeeper is the first goalkeeper to Willem and has started twelve times this season. Logically Niki Maenpaa will be the replacement, but he started only once this season in goal in Tilburg.

The 33-year-old Aerts is making his fourth season with Willem. The goalkeeper started his career at FC Den Bosch. Thereafter he moved through Germinal Beerschot (Bel) and RBC Roosendaal. His good performance in Roosendaal earned him a transfer to Feyenoord. In De Kuip Aerts could never settle, and therefore was transferred to Willem II.
