Schalke : Let the Auction begin

The speculations have begun who is going to leave the club in the winter break.There is enormous need for fresh money in the club.

Three attackers belong to the list of preferred candidates for sale: Gerald Asamoah (31, contract to 2011), Halil Altintop (26, to contract until the summer of 2010) and Vicente Sanchez (29, Contract 2011 ). Asamoah (five appearances) and Sanchez (three) have backed up with one goal against Frankfurt (2-0) and Leverkusen (2:2) and brought important points. Altintop (four games) is scoreless  so far this season. 

Even the sale of two of the Schalke attackers could be easily compensate in short terms as there is solution for Felix Magath.His name is Mezquida, he is 17 years old and 1.71 tall but is considered as one of the biggest talents in South America.

The Uruguayan is still at his hometown club Penarol Montevideo under contract, but Schalke  has an option that could recall him either in the upcoming transfer window or in the summer of 2010. 

However Magath is not currently on the topic of a commitment with Mezquida as that will depend solely on how many strikers he will manage to sell.
