Dzeko is considered as Robinho's replcement in Man City

While Robinho's likely to move to Barcelona in January, Edin Dzeko is the man set to replace him.

The 23-year-old Wolfsburg striker resisted a move to AC Milan last summer and signed up to the Bundesliga champions until 2013, so the winter transfer window will not be the opportune time to wrest him from Wolfsburg, particularly if the German club have secured qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League, as expected.

Dzeko scored 26 goals in the Bundesliga last season,and his price is at least around the £20m fee, which City are likely to receive for Robinho.

Robinho's arrival at the Nou Camp will not stop the European champions turning their attentions to securing Premier League stars Javier Mascherano and Cesc Fabregas in the summer.
