Ajax forward Suarez is another target of the freely buying Hughes.

The Uruguayan is believed to have been scouted by City. However, Martin Jol - the current Ajax coach, has urged Suarez to stay for another two seasons and leave as a champion.

Suarez has been in very exciting form last season and during 2009/2010. He seems not to have any issues finding the net - the 22-year-old claimed 27 goals in 41 appearances last season. So far this season Suarez has scored 21 goals in 17 games. These numbers do not go unnoticed by other clubs, so City will face a major fight to secure the services of Suarez as  Barcelona, Manchester United, Inter Milan and AC Milan have all been linked with him.

Suarez contract expires on the end of the 2011/2012 season so his price will be far from a bargain.
