Injured Patrick Helmes plans a return

Patrick Helmes hopes to be back on the field just in time for Germany's 2010 World Cup campaign. The striker suffered a cruciate ligament injury over the summer and  has not take part yet in a first team play.

However, Helmes aims at playing regular football by November, but realizes that it will be difficult to break into the Leverkusen squad. "I hope to be back in training in mid-November. I know the lads are playing great and I expect to play mainly as a substitute until the end of the first phase of the season", said the 25 year-old player .
