Tranquillo Barnetta in talks over a new contract

Swiss midfielder Barnetta is about to sign his contract extension in Bayer Leverkusen as the board are not too keen on letting him go in summer.

This is a second extension for 24-year-old Barnetta and this time Bayer are determined to keep the promising player in the team even if it takes a further pay rise.

Since 2005 the top midfielder has made over 125 league appearances for Bayer Leverkusen
