Udinese will have Jo Inge Berget (18) back to Italy as soon as possible. The Super Talent himself is prepared to spend the winter in Oslo.
It was the childhood dream that came true when Jo Inge Berget was sold from Lyn to the Serie A club Udinese last summer.
But winter in northern Italy was not that 18-year-old had planned. He struggled to get playing time on the junior team, and the distance to the girlfriend, family and friends was too great.
Berget wanted to go home, and in March his wish was met.
He will be in Norway as Lyn brought him back to Oslo on loan, and having extended the loan in the summer, he is scheduled to be in the club through August. But after two goals
and some big games this is what Jo inge says:
- Now I see for me to spend the winter in Oslo
However, it is easier said than done. Lyn would at first try to keep him for the whole season. At the same time a couple of other Norwegian clubs, including Lillestrom, have entered in the field. But in Udinese's view the boy should return.
- If it were up to me we should keep him until he is 35 years, but it is not so simple. At first we want to extend the loan for the whole season, and we are in dialogue with Udinese, "said Lyn's sporting director Rolf-Magne Walstad to Dagbladet.
