Mali- Guinea
Mali- Guinea
Both sides are neighbors and know very well each other. After the group stage we would see haw far have gone the changes in the West Africa’s football. The rivals have involved few new names in their first squads and we expect to see the outcome from that in this competition and the next World Cup 2014 Qualifications. The names as Momo Sissoko, Mahamadou Diarra, Frederic Kanoute (for Mali) and the skipper Pascal Feindouno, Bobo Balde and Kevin Constant, who chose to play for Genoa and denied his country (for Guinea) will not be seen in the starting line- ups.
Mali are quite inconsistent lately and considering the bad season of the Traore’s band Keita from Barcelona should build the bone of the Mali’s midfield. In the attack we see many strong and tall men, but except the little spark in the last Check Diabate’s play, we can not honour someone else. Definitely, there is an obvious lack of experience in this team.
Guinea have finished on the top of the qualification group with one of the toughest teams of Africa Nigeria. They have better records in comparison with Mali in recent years and we could distinguish another battle- this one between the both French managers, who have to proof their work. The goal sense of Sadio Diallo up- front (he is in very good form in Bastia) would be supported by the fast and inspired style of the young Alhassane Bangoura from Rayo Vallecano. The fight is granted and we don’t see a clear favorite here. The sides like the attacking football, se we hope the 0-0 would be avoided.
