Contract extension in Man United
Another player in Manchester United has signed a contract extension. On 31 January 2011, Ryan Giggs was named Manchester United's greatest ever player by a world wide poll conducted by United's official magazine and website. Sir Alex Ferguson presented him with the award. The Welshman, who celebrated his 37th birthday last year, feels he’s still got a lot to offer. ”His experience is so vital for the younger players in the squad“ said Sir Alex Ferguson on him. The deal is for one year.
After unforgettable Giggs today was Patrice Evra’s turn. The 29-year-old Frenchman has made 226 appearances for United after joining them from Monaco for £5m in 2006. The contract is set to keep him at Old Trafford until at least the end of the 2013/14 season.
Probably the top scorer of the team Dimitar Berbatov will sign a new three-year extension.
