Hannover captain Steve Cherundolo pleased with better teamwork

Hannover have been one of the early season surprise packages in the Bundesliga so far. They continued their form with a superb 4-1 victory over northern rivals Werder Bremen. Captain Steve Cherundolo and sporting director Joerg Schmadtke offered their thoughts on the team's good form.

"It looks as though we are now fighting more than before. However that is not the case. The difference is we are now playing with more togetherness," Cherundolo said after the final whistle.

Schmadtke also echoed the American's sentiments after the victory.

"We have a completely new character in the team now. Everyone is fit and working together to play to the team's plan. Our team are difficult opponents to play against."

Die Roten are fourth in the table with 10 points from five games. They travel to Kaiserslautern on Sunday afternoon.
