Tests at a Cologne clinic have revealed that Kießling has a torn syndesmosis ligament in the left lower leg (high ankle sprain), the result of a tackle during Sunday's home game against 1. FC Nürnberg.The six-time German international received a cast and will have to put his feet up for the next few days. He is expected to be out of action for several weeks.
