Leon Jessen Leaves Midtjylland For Kaiserslautern

Leon Jessen, 24-year-old right fullback did a good season at FC Midtjylland, despite the team did not qualify for Europe. Jessen was in the preliminary squad for the World Cup, but did not make it through. Though, his performances in the Danish Superliga were not passed by the scouts of the new member of the Bundesliga - Kaiserslautern.

The promising defender has signed a 4-year-old contract with the German side. He is not the only young acquisition by the newly promoted team - Iliyan Mitsanski, a 24-year-old Bulgarian forward, who has scored 40 goals in 54 outings for Zaglebie Lubin, was also bought recently.

FC Midtjylland has moved in for Vejle's defender Brian Priske in order to fill the gap, left by the departure of Jessen and Kolja Afriyie to Energie.
